About Me
designer | artist
hobbies: muay thai, painting, photography, sculpting
I am a New York-based artist and game and combat designer. I am from Bahrain, and I bring my culture into the work I create. I graduated from New York University with a BFA in Game Design and minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Social Entrepreneurship. I design experiences that are action-packed and stylish with cinematic systems and presentation. I have made games in Unreal and Unity and have experience with animation tools such as Maya, Blender, and MotionBuilder. My motto is “Less Talk, More Rock” because I love finding solutions to ideas through prototyping and communicate mechanics through storyboards, animatics, and even short comics.
As a practicing martial artist, I bring a unique lens into the realm of combat design. I think in terms of games during my fights, with my opponents' telegraphs as anticipation frames, and "parry windows" after I block specific attacks. I love designing scenarios where players have to approach combat tactics through problem-solving.
I make experiences that create real-world heroes in games such as Fire Raiders, where I show people how thrilling helping others can be. Even as an Admissions Ambassador at NYU, I told stories that transformed mundane activities like studying for exams into amazing adventures that inspired people to pursue their passions, even in a world that tells them not to dream big.
